College Outreach

During the school year, College Outreach is held periodically throughout the year. Students from Johnson C. Smith, Winthrop , UNCC, Queens, Davidson and other local colleges are among those who have participated in the various activities that are provided. Students receive a practical teaching from the Word of God through innovative ways, including artistic expression and various media technologies. We provide thought-provoking ministry on special topics pertaining to young adults in the college environment. We also offer recreation such as basketball, bowling and table games, along with plenty of food.

Our purpose is:

• To establish communication and fellowship among Christian college students.
• To provide support to Christian students who live in a secular environment.
• To witness to non-Christians, leading them to a decision of accepting Jesus Christ.

We communicate information to college students that will encourage them to:

• Keep their focus on attitudes and behavior that demonstrate godly and successful living.
• Avoid distractions that would take them away from their destiny.

Sub-26

Sub-26 is a Christian organization for unmarried individuals ages 19 to 25 to come and enjoy the benefits of being in an environment with like-minded people experiencing the same life stage. This organization provides an avenue for spiritual development, cultural experiences, social outlets, and accountability.

New Directions I

New Direction I is the Singles Ministry of Victory Christian Center and is comprised of single members, ages 26-39. The purpose of this organization is to help its members recognize their value and worth as singles. Our foundational scripture, I Corinthians 7:32-33, teaches that Christian singles should focus on the Lord and how to please Him, in contrast to a married person whose primary desire is to please his or her mate. Many new Christians typically begin looking for meaningful relationships as soon as they become born again. New Directions I points singles to Jesus, stressing the importance of discovering who they are in Christ and the need to grow in the knowledge of the Word. Through ministry, they are encouraged to become involved in the lives of others. Social activities are also offered so singles can avail themselves to wholesome Christian fellowship.

New Directions II

New Directions II is the singles ministry of VCC composed of ages 40-49.  The goals and vision of this ministry is to take the vision of Victory Christian Center and run with it.  One of the ways they accomplish this is by making themselves available to the different outreaches that are currently sponsored by our church.  New Directions II provides fellowship through special events and workshops. They give of their finances, time, and talent to help support the vision and to hold up the pastor's arm.
